FRIDAY CLASSES
Winter 1 Session: January 10 - February 7, 2025. 9:30-4:00 (come 10-15 minutes early to set up).
$275/all 5 or $60/class paid in advance, $70 paid at time of class (payment reserves your place). All skill levels from beginners to advanced.
We will learn various skills to handle the delightful medium of watercolor along with drawing and connecting with ourselves, our art and each other. In this session we will be exploring composition which is most important for creating excellent paintings. Students are invited to comment and question. If you have specific areas you want Winnie to cover, please let her know.

Winter 2 Session: February 14, 21 & 28, March 14, 21 & 28, 2025 (no class March 7). 9:30-4:00 (come 10-15 minutes early to set up).
$390/all six Fridays or $70 paid in advance or $80paid at the time of class. (Payment reserves your place). Beginning to advanced painters.
Along with drawing and learning to see, we will develop our watercolor painting skills, learning how to dance with this wonderful medium. Connecting with ourselves, each other and our paintings is always included.
Winnie is delighted to have students ask questions, for if one person is unclear about something, probably others are too. If you have requests for areas to cover, please let Winnie know.

Open Studio: June 27-August 15, 2025. Open Studio is not actually a class, but a time to paint with friends on Fridays during the summer break. 10-3:00 (Note: these hours are different from classes and workshops). Please come at 10:00.
Sign up ahead, but pay $10.00 at the time of class. If you have signed up and find you cannot come, let Winnie know. If you have signed up and she cancels an Open Studio, she will let you know.
Winnie provides a time and place to paint plus coffee & tea, but no instruction. She paints like everyone else. Bring whatever you want to work on. Everyone helps everyone else.

Refund policy:
For weekly classes, you receive a full refund if you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to the class. If you cancel less than 2 weeks before the class, there is no refund unless another student can fill your place from the Wait List. If Winnie cancels you receive a full refund.

For 3-Day workshops, you receive a full refund if you cancel more than a month in advance or if your space can be filled from the Wait List. If Winnie cancels you receive a full refund.

WATERCOLOR JOURNALING - Limoux, France
April 26-May 10, 2025 and August 23-September 6, 2025
Join Winnie Givot for a Painting Retreat in Limoux in the Languedoc region of France. Our days will be filled with painting, drawing and writing in our watercolor journals as we explore this beautiful area, seeing more deeply through our art. Whether you are an experienced painter or a beginner, this will be a delightful and inspirational, even transformational experience.

Our host, Chris Georgas, will take us on day trips. Places may include ancient villages, castles, and cave paintings along with other wonderful sites.
Some days we will paint at Le Monastere (our home there) and at other places in Limoux, a charming town. Many afternoons will be free for rest, relaxation, painting, and exploration.

Winnie will give daily lessons and individual help. This is an opportunity for art immersion as we play with color and texture, with composition, writing and page embellishments, while connecting with the beauty around us. There will be lightheartedness and musings in our journals and our days. In the evenings we will eat exceptional meals specially prepared for us at restaurants or by Chris’ wife, Fabienne. Ah, the food and wine of France!

Winnie Givot is a skilled watercolor artist who has been teaching for 27 years. This will be her 15th & 16th international workshops. She encourages us to connect with a deeper part of ourselves and instructs with expertise, gentle guidance, and encouragement to paint with the eyes of the heart.

COST: $4200, double occupancy
Singles available, $500 supplemental charge
INCLUDES: lodging, breakfasts, 12 dinners, workshop transportation, pick-up at Toulouse Airport April 26 (noon), airport drop-off on May 10 (mid-morning), and art instruction.
EXCLUDES: airfare, insurance, personal expenses, art supplies, lunch, and dinners on Wednesdays.

A check for the deposit of $1400 sent to Winnie Givot reserves your place. Balance for the April-May Painting Retreat due by February 10, 2025. Balance for the August-September Painting Retreat due by June 2, 2025.

Refund policies:
For the April-May Painting Retreat, Ii you cancel before October 10, 2024, there is a cancellation fee of $600. If you cancel between October 10, 2024 and February 10, 2025, there is a cancellation fee of $1000. There is no refund if you cancel after February 10, 2025.
If Winnie cancels the workshop you will be refunded all that you have paid minus any payments made to Le Monastere to reserve your place. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

For the August-September Painting Retreat, if you cancel before February 10, 2024, there is a cancellation fee of $600. If you cancel between February 10, 2025 and June 2, 2025, there is a cancellation fee of $1000. There is no refund if you cancel after June 2, 2025.
